Job Is Done is a job search tool for the financial services industry. It reads vacancies straight from employers' own careers pages, scores each one against your CV, and lets you filter the result by seniority, function and location — so you see relevant roles the day they are posted instead of trawling job boards.
What it does today
Scans 83 firms directly, four times a day. Banks, asset managers, hedge funds, private equity and private credit — read from each firm's own careers site, so a role shows up here when it is posted rather than when an aggregator gets round to it.
Scores every job against your CV. Upload your CV once and each posting gets a match score, so you can spend your applications on the roles that genuinely fit instead of the ones you happened to see first. The score measures how closely your experience matches what the posting asks for — it is a filter to aim your effort, not a prediction of whether you will be hired.
Filters the market down to your search. By seniority, by function, by location. Set it once and the list stays yours.
Keeps track of where you have applied. So you stop rediscovering the same job, and can see what you have in flight.
Signing in, and what we ask Google for
You sign in with your Google account. We use it only to identify you: we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier, and nothing else. We request no access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service, and we never see your Google password.
Your CV is stored so that jobs can be scored against it, and is not sent to any third-party AI service — the matching runs on our own infrastructure. The Privacy Notice sets out every field we hold, who can see it, and how to have it deleted.
Why this exists
A few months ago I was looking for a director-level role in banking, and the job boards were not working. I was sending hundreds of applications into the same sites everyone else uses, competing with everyone else who had seen the same posting days earlier.
So I stopped applying and started building. I wrote something that scans the banking and asset management market directly — the firms' own careers pages, not an aggregator — and tells me about a role the day it appears rather than the week it has already been circulating. Then I used AI to get my CV past the screening software, and to prepare properly for the interviews it won me.
Within two months I had four director-level offers.
That was my experience, not a promise about yours. But the thing that changed was not effort — it was seeing the right roles early, and applying to fewer of them with a CV that actually matched. That is what this is built to give you.
What's coming
The CV tailoring and interview preparation I used are not part of this web application yet — for now they run on my own machine. Bringing them in is what I am working on next.
